Stellenbosch continued their rise with a 2-1 win over Chippa United, moving into fourth and leaving Chippa hovering above bottom‑placed Golden Arrows.

Kaizer Chiefs impressed with a 2-0 victory over Sundowns, climbing to fifth while slowing Downs’ chase of Pirates. Chiefs still have a game in hand after their European tour.

Newcomers Orbit College delivered the upset of the weekend, beating Sekhukhune United 3-0 to jump to 10th and drop Babina Noko to 11th.

Siwelele maintained their momentum with a 4-2 win over Durban City to go third, eight points behind Pirates.

AmaZulu coach Kurt Lentjies secured his first win as Usuthu edged Magesi 2-1, bouncing back from a tough debut defeat to Pirates.
