Orlando Pirates maintained their two-point advantage at the top of the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) table when they won their second straight match on Saturday, November 29.

Pirates thrashed Magesi FC 4-0 to make another statement of intent as they look to win the title and have now put behind their Soweto derby loss of a fortnight ago with six points from two games which leaves them top of the table with 31 points from 13 games.

Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns kept pressure on Pirates with a third win in a row after edging Orbit College 1-0 also on Saturday to take their tally to 29 points from 13 games. Sundowns have now gone four games without defeat with their last three ending in wins.

Siwelele FC are in third place with 23 points after thrashing Chippa United 5-1 on Sunday, November 30, one point ahead of fourth-placed Stellenbosch FC, who beat Sekhukhune United 3-1 on Sunday.

Siwelele and Stellenbosch took advantage of Kaizer Chiefs’ absence to move ahead of the Glamour Boys who are away on a tour of the United Kingdom.

Diski Challenge to pause for AFCON 2025

The PSL Reserve League is taking a break of over one month to give way to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The competition will return on January 10 when Pirates will hope to continue their fine run.
