‘Even Chiefs would score eight against them!’ Mixed feelings as Bafana hammer Eritrea

Bafana Bafana solidified their position on top of Group D in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with a 5-0 win over Eritrea in Cairo on Wednesday evening.

Both Relebohile Mofokeng and Oswin Appollis shone against the Red Sea Camels; the former scored a brace while the latter claimed three assists to ensure Pitso Mosimane’s men now have six points from their opening two games.

South Africa beat Guinea 2-1 in matchday 1 played at the Orlando Stadium last weekend.

The fans are happy with the way Mofokeng played, as well as the Orlando Pirates star Appollis. Supporters have been further urged to wear national team colours when on the pitch.
