Bafana Bafana will be out to maintain their perfect start in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers when they face Eritrea at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo on Wednesday evening.

The match is being played at a neutral ground because the Red Sea Camels do not have an approved stadium at home.

South Africans have a number of options to watch the match live with both free-to-air and Pay Tv channels as well as livestreaming.

South Africa and Eritrea’s last match

Bafana Bafana started their AFCON qualifiers with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Guinea at Orlando Amstel Arena last Saturday and with Eritrea drawing 1-1 with Kenya in Nairobi the same day, Pitso Mosimane’s side have a chance to move a head of the rest.

Guinea will be hosting Kenya in Conakry at the same time and if they drop points, South Africa will be in prime position if they beat Eritrea, placed 184th in the FIFA ranking.

Mosimane will, however, be without left-back Aubrey Modiba, who sustained a hamstring injury on Saturday, but he has Samukele Kabini, scorer of the winning goal against Guinea, and Fawaaz Basadien to call upon.
