DStv Diski Challenge: Chiefs & Sundowns collect big victories

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns collected victories in the DStv Diski Challenge over the weekend.

Amakhosi have made it two wins in a row as they downed Cape Town City 3-0 at Malta Park, scoring all their goals in the first half to ensure an away win.

The Citizens’ defeat to Amakhosi ended their incredible 552-day unbeaten home streak in the reserve league.

Chiefs remain in second place with 23 points they have collected after 10 matches they have played so far.

Meanwhile, Bafana Ba Style picked up maximum points with a 3-1 victory over Chippa United at Sturrock Park. Masandawana have now triumphed in five of their last six matches, maintaining a strong challenge for the title this season.

They sit third with 22 points after 10 games they have played thus far.

Additionally, reigning champions Stellenbosch FC edged Polokwane City with 1-0 scoreline at Idas Valley Stadium.

Stellies remain at the top of the table, having gathered 23 points from a possible 33 in the 11 matches they have played thus far.
