Kaizer Chiefs forced a 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy on Monday in a Premier Soccer League match staged at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
The first half was not good for the Glamour Boys who struggled to hit the target. The Rockets were better in all aspects and were rewarded in the 35th minute when Samukelo Kabini broke the deadlock.
It seemed Galaxy had done enough to win the game only to be undone by Ranga Chivaviro who forced the ball to cross the line after unsuccessful attempts by the defenders to clear Happy Mashiane's beautiful corner.
Prior to the equaliser, the Soweto giants had missed many chances to score as attackers either took unnecessary extra touches in the danger zone, lacked composure, or were indecisive.
Chiefs have the same kind of players – Nabi
With the winter transfer window approaching, the Glamour Boys coach Nasreddine Nabi has now opened up on the qualities he is looking for as he aims at signing an established striker to bolster the attacking department.
“It's true, we feel that up top we have the same kind of players, players who like to dribble, to play short spaces but we lack a little bit of power, players who can shoot,” the former Young Africans SC coach responded when asked about the first-half struggles.
“We need to get those kind of players in the future. I want players of the level of Kaizer Chiefs, honestly.”
After nine games in the 2024/25 PSL matches, Chiefs have managed to collect 12 points after three wins, as many draws, and three losses as well.
