Chiefs welcomes back attacker
Kaizer Chiefs have welcomed back one of their rising stars following the end of a loan spell in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The 22-year-old Manqoba Ozoemena winger spent the second half of last season on a short-term loan deal with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars, who have since rebranded to Real Natives.
The talented attacker made the temporary move to the Mpumalanga-based outfit in an intentional search to get valuable competitive minutes under his belt and gain vital senior football experience last season.
After sitting out the club’s initial pre-season schedule, the starlet is now back and training with the Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team.
McCarthy delivers abroad
South African defender Aden McCarthy featured for 90 minutes and helped Sabah FC pick up a point away from home in their 0-0 draw against table-toppers Neftçi on Friday evening.
The former Kaizer Chiefs man put in another great shift in the heart of defence to help his side to their sixth successive unbeaten run in the Azerbaijan Premier League as they sit second.
