Mamelodi Sundowns defender Khuliso Mudau has seemingly dropped a hint about his future following the end of his contract.
Mudau’s contract expired on 30 June with the right-back having spent five years at the club after joining back in 2020 from Black Leopards.
Mudau's journey at Sundowns has been remarkable. Arriving at Bafana Ba Style at 25, largely unrecognised, he has since blossomed into one of the most crucial senior players for the Betway Premiership champions.
His consistent performances as a Bafana Bafana right-back make him indispensable, and Sundowns are undoubtedly eager to secure his continued services for the foreseeable future.
The club has reportedly held talks with the player but the parties haven’t found the common ground.
Two months ago, the agent Steve Kapelushnik spoke to FARPost, explaining that, “Yeah, his contract is coming to an end, they have options [to extend],” Kepeluschnick told FARPost. “We have been trying to negotiate with them for a new contract, but we haven’t found each other at this stage.”

WHAT MUDAU POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA
It seems that Mudau’s future still remains uncertain. Meanwhile, he has posted on his social media something odd, saying, “A good dancer know when to leave the dance floor Akiri”.
Mudau has been a consistent starter for Sundowns this season, demonstrating his attacking and defensive prowess from the right-back position.
In his 22 appearances across all competitions, he's directly contributed to five goals, finding the back of the net three times and registering two assists. Since his arrival at the club, Mudau has been a workhorse, accumulating a total of 144 matches across all competitions, with eight goals and four assists to his name.
Prior to joining Black Leopards and subsequently Sundowns, Mudau honed his skills in the lower divisions, playing for JDR Stars and Magesi FC.
