How Orlando Pirates arrive

Pirates are unbeaten in the league this season. They sit just one point behind the log leaders. The MTN8 final defeat to Sundowns was their first loss of the 2026/27 campaign. Their recent form reads L W W W D (most recent first), with that final loss being the L.

Kamogelo Sebelebele is out after an injury picked up on Saturday, and Bulelani Sigomoshe or Ghampani Lungu could fill the gap. Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says the squad has “nothing to reproach” after the final and expects a quick response: “you can count on us, on Pirates, to be ready for the next games.”

How TS Galaxy arrive

Galaxy have had a difficult start to the season, with recent form of L L D W D (most recent first). The club has confirmed Bernard Parker’s demotion as coach. Owner Tim Sukazi says Galaxy are looking for a more qualified coach, and no successor has been announced.

Head-to-head

Pirates have won two and drawn one of the last three meetings in the PSL. They beat Galaxy 6-0 on 22 March 2026 and 2-0 on 30 September 2025, with a 1-1 draw on 17 May 2025.

The context

Pirates will want to answer the final defeat quickly and stay in the title race, while Galaxy look for a first step forward under a new setup. Ouaddou has spoken of a swift response, and the league table gives Pirates every reason to deliver one.
