Mamelodi Sundowns star has been named among players to watch in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup which will be held in USA next year.
The Brazilians are among four clubs that will represent the African continent along with Al Ahly, Wydad Casablanca and Esperence de Tunis.
Bafana Ba Style earned their place at the FIFA Club World Cup via the CAF ranking pathway.
Their consistent participation in the CAF Champions League in the four-year qualifying period (2020-24), in which they reached the quarter-finals and semi-finals twice apiece, ensured they qualified for the tournament that will be played in the USA
This is their second appearance in the competition having played in the 2016 edition which was staged in Japan and was won by the Spanish giants Real Madrid.
With the much-anticipated competition coming up in June next year, FIFA have picked 30 players to watch from clubs who have qualified.
Themba Zwane of Mamelodi Sundowns was named as the most influential player in the Tshwane giants.
“A one-club man and nine-time South African champion, this experienced international midfielder is the Sundowns captain and, even in his mid-30s, remains their most influential player,” FIFA stated.
