South African youngster Shandre Campbell has left Belgian giants Club Brugge and signed for newly-promoted KV Kortrijk to begin a new chapter in his career.
The 21-year-old has struggled for consistent first-team opportunities and has now secured a move in search of more playing time.
Kortrijk have been notably active in the transfer market following their return to Belgium’s top flight, and the acquisition of Campbell is seen as a shrewd piece of business. The talented winger is looking to reignite his career after a challenging spell at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Shandre Campbell showed quality in Brugge
Campbell moved to Club Brugge in 2024 from South African side SuperSport United, where he had made 30 appearances and scored five goals. Despite showing promise, he found it difficult to establish himself in the senior squad, making just 18 appearances and scoring two goals for the first team.
However, his potential was evident with the club’s reserve side, Club NXT. During the 2024/2025 season in the Belgian second tier, Campbell was impressive, netting nine goals and providing two assists. While he couldn’t fully translate that form to the first team, both of his senior goals for Club Brugge came this past season.
“We are very proud to welcome Shandre Campbell to KV Kortrijk,” said, Nils Vanneste, Sporting Director at KVK. “With Shandre, we are bringing in someone who brings a lot of creativity, speed, and depth. Despite his young age, he has already gained experience in the Belgian First Division. We look forward to Shandre’s first minutes at the Guldensporenstadion.”
