Stellenbosch FC have completed the signing of Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah following his departure from Orlando Pirates.

The 28-year-old joins the Cape Winelands club on a free transfer after spending the last four-and-a-half seasons with the Buccaneers.

Ndah becomes the fourth Nigerian player to turn out for Stellenbosch, linking up with compatriots Ibraheem Jabaar and Kazie Enyinnaya, as well as former Maroons forward Stanley Dimgba.

The centre-back will wear the No. 99 jersey and could make his debut when Stellenbosch face Magesi FC in a Betway Premiership clash at Danie Craven Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Confirming the move, Stellenbosch FC chief executive Rob Benadie praised the club’s latest addition and underlined the careful approach taken in recruitment.

“Olisa is a player with proven quality and experience at the highest level, and we are pleased to welcome him to Stellenbosch FC,” Benadie said via the official site. “We are deliberate in our recruitment strategy to ensure that every signing complements the group, and having had the chance to assess him closely, we are confident he will be a valuable addition to our squad.”

Ndah recently became a free agent after mutually parting ways with Orlando Pirates, where he had established himself as a key figure in central defence before injuries limited his involvement in the past year.

After weeks of speculation surrounding his future—including reported interest from other PSL sides—Ndah has now secured a return to top-flight action with Stellenbosch, where he is expected to add depth and experience to the back line.

His arrival also ends uncertainty over his next destination following his Orlando Pirates exit, with the Nigerian international now set to resume competitive football in the Betway Premiership.
