Mike Makaab, a prominent football agent, has clarified the criteria for former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Manqoba Mngqithi's next job.
Mngqithi, who left Sundowns in December after more than a decade at the club, seeks a “sustainable football project,” according to Makaab.
His departure came unexpectedly in December last year and he was replaced by the Portuguese tactician Miguel Cardoso.
Makaab emphasised that they are being patient and not rushing into any decisions, as Mngqithi aims to replicate the stability and success he enjoyed at Sundowns.

‘IT’S GOT TO BE THE RIGHT PROJECT FOR HIM’
“We’re busy looking at opportunities, I’m meeting him soon,” said Makaab.
“But we’re not going to be under any pressure to make hasty decisions. As I’ve said and I’ll say it, it’s got to be the right project for him.
“He’s that sort of coach, he’s professional in his approach and for him it’s not about being a coach of a football club but it’s about being involved in a football project. He was at Sundowns 11 years.”
