CAF Awards 2025: Two South Africans nominated for Goal of the Year

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially revealed the 13 contenders for the prestigious Goal of the Year award at the upcoming #CAFAwards25 and South Africa has double reason to celebrate!

Bafana Bafana midfielder Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Banyana Banyana star Refiloe Jane have both earned nominations for their spectacular goals, Ndlondlo in the CHAN clash against Uganda, and Jane in South Africa’s WAFCON showdown with Mali.

Curated by the CAF Technical Panel, the shortlist features goals scored between 06 January and 15 October 2025, showcasing elite technique, unforgettable moments, and continental brilliance.

CAF Goal of the Year Voting Details

Fan votes will determine the winner, making this the only CAF Award decided entirely by public input, click here to vote for Ndlondlo or Jane.

  • Fans can vote exclusively via CAFOnline.com and CAF’s official social media channels.

The winner will be crowned at the CAF Awards Gala, where CAF will honour the standout players, coaches, and teams of the year.
