Ahead of a highly anticipated showdown against Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has provided an update on the fitness of first-choice goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, leaving fans and management in suspense.
The sold-out Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Tshwane will be the stage for this Betway Premiership blockbuster on Saturday, March 1st.
This match is the second league encounter between the two giants this season, with Sundowns having edged the first round fixture 2-1 at FNB Stadium.
However, a cloud of uncertainty hangs over the availability of Williams, “Bafana Ba Style's” key custodian and a vital component of their success since his arrival from SuperSport United.

Cardoso confirmed that the club is anxiously awaiting a final assessment from the medical team to ascertain whether the Bafana Bafana captain will be cleared to play on Saturday.
WILL WILLIAMS BE AVAILABLE FOR CHIEFS CLASH?
“Regarding Ronwen, we don’t know when he will come back, we are hoping [he will come back] soon,” Cardoso told the media after their 4-2 win over Sekhukhune United on Wednesday at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
“But in the moment, I’m waiting for something from the medical department. Today I don’t usually worry about players that are not on the list.
“We hope that he comes back as quick as possible.”
