Carling: Ex-Sundowns player tells Gallants what to do to beat Brazilians

Former Mamelodi Sundowns player Bennett Mnguni has told Marumo Gallants what to do to beat his former side in the Carling Knockout Cup semifinal on Sunday.

The two teams will face off at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein, battling for a spot in the final.

The winner of this match will face Magesi FC, who triumphed in the first semifinal on Saturday, defeating Richards Bay FC at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

Mnguni highlighted Sundowns' ability to capitalise on their opponents' mistakes. He stressed the importance of maintaining focus throughout the entire match to prevent Sundowns from exploiting any lapses.

SUNDOWNS LEGEND ON WHAT GALLANTS MUST DO AGAINST BRAZILIANS

“Every team Dan coaches plays good football, they excel at both attacking and defending as a cohesive unit,” Mnguni told KickOff.

“However, against Sundowns, they need to be particularly cautious. A single mistake could be severely punished. In many of their matches, Marumo Gallants have been punished due to lapses in concentration.

“Marumo Gallants need to maintain their focus throughout the game, although that will be a challenge. If they manage to defeat Sundowns on Sunday, they will win the Carling Knockout.

“I would give Gallants a 15% chance of beating Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday. Games like these are often determined by luck, hard work, and 120% commitment.”
