New Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has revealed what irked him at his previous club Petro de Luanda last season.

The 28-year-old centre-back joined Amakhosi this transfer to strengthen their defence as they look to bounce back from their struggles.

Miguel was somewhat struggling for playing time at Petro last season, making only 12 appearances in the league. However, he enjoyed more opportunities in the CAF Champions League, where he featured in nine games.

He has admitted that that this frustrated him, prompting him to address the issue with the club.

This situation played a significant role in his decision to sign with Amakhosi for the current season.

WHAT FRUSTRATED INACIO MIGUEL AT PETRO DE LUANDA

“What can I say, it was the coach's decision,” said Miguel.

“And I had to focus on my job and my work. Last season, I played a little bit in the league and more in the Champions League as you were saying.

“I cannot control (all of that). I can only control my daily work and here I will do the same so what I can say?

“I just have to focus on my daily work and the rest that I cannot control I cannot say anything.

“I talked to Petro about that I wasn't so happy with the small minutes that I had last season and want to change something and play.

“They spoke to me and said I want to move because I wanted to do something different and not be in a comfort zone.”
