Kaizer Chiefs went top of Group D in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday thanks to the 2-1 win over Al Masry.
Flavio Da Silva and Aden McCarthy were on target for the Glamour Boys while Abderrahim Deghmoum responded for the Green Eagle. It was a result that took Amakhosi top of the table with 10 points, two more than Zamalek who are second.
Al Masry have seven points while ZESCO, who are at the bottom, have managed just three points.
Here are the reactions from the fans as compiled by Afrik-Foot.
We need a technical team
We needed the third goal, but I feel like our players relaxed after leading. I don’t like that mentality – The Vezzy
Once again, I take the victory, but the striking department is very thin. I’m not happy with the number of chances we keep missing. I also don’t like the lack of sense of urgency from the boys. They’re always casual – Hlabane Tebatso
We needed another goal to qualify, but Mduduzi Shabalala are missing seaters when it matters most, but we won’t lose against Zamalek away – Mohy
If we are to be fair, we need a real technical team, an experienced one. We have good players, but we play boring football – Joseph
We have shitty coaches. We need a 3-1 lead, and all you think about is defending. Paseka Mako for Shabalala. How is that effective offensively? Pule Mmodi and Glody Lilepo are tired, and you have Asanele Velebayi, Gaston Sirino, and Mfundo Vilakazi on the bench. Ndlovu can also be substituted for Mabaso. We win by luck – Kgobani
It feels like a loss

Our Coaches were cowards. Mako’s sub was unnecessary. They should have brought in Sirino and pushed for the 3rd goal. This team was tired after 70 minutes. With McCarthy out next week, it will be very difficult to get a draw against Zamalek – Anele Mahlawe
We are really going nowhere with these coaches. We are just winning. We need to dominate – Modiba Maxwell
If it wasn’t for Mmodi we would have won, gotten at least one more goal here. We still take the win, it’s all to play for next week, yet again – Ovo Mogoeng
This one feels like a loss. We should have scored 3 goals without conceding. It will be tough in Egypt – Dashin Avhasei Maphupha
Football is like that. It only applauds when you win, but when you lose, be ready to be treated like the worst player ever. Keep on working hard, some of us still understand that the effort you’re putting in is immense. The goals will come – Lehlohonolo Dibakwane
