‘Chiefs playing mud & garbage football! But this betrayal football will win us titles’

Kaizer Chiefs are close to securing a place in the knockout phase of the annual CAF Confederation Cup.

Amakhosi registered back-to-back wins against ZESCO United to take their Group D tally to seven points from four games. The Glamour Boys have secured two wins, a draw and a loss in the pool that Zamalek leads with eight points, followed by Al Masry who have seven just like Chiefs but with a superior goal difference.

On Sunday, the Premier Soccer League outfit secured a 1-0 win against Timu ya Zico. It was the fourth match in a row, across all competitions, that they had won by such a margin.

Have a look at the reactions by the fans as sampled by Afrik-Foot.

1-0 wins won’t take us places

Mud football: score one goal and lock the doors. This betrayal football will win a treble if we are not careful – Chris Excel

Happy for the three points, but honestly, we have to do better. These 1-0 wins won’t take us places. We’ll be playing knockout where goals matter – Dumba Kay

We can’t always rely on our defence to see games through, our attackers need to step up – Maraporapo

Another win and a clean sheet from Brandon Petersen with a world-class performance week in and week out. You won’t hear us making noise – Aey Dear

I love how the boys are now quickly recovering the ball and defending together. Now we need a double dose of confidence boosting for our strikers – Takura Chamuka

No hunger, no killer instinct

Kaizer Chiefs Fans

Brandon Petersen is the real Bafana Bafana No.1 goalkeeper, but we know that Madala is anti-Chiefs – Fugaze

I’ll take the 3 points, but our second half was poor until Sirino came in and made better decisions. Mabaso also came in and did well.  CAF Confederation Cup football is very difficult, so a 1-0 scoreline is not bad, but we must learn to be efficient in the final third – Bongz Messi

These 1–0 scores are embarrassing now. No hunger, no killer instinct. We should have scored at least three goals – Ceeya Mchunu

I thought playing on a world-class pitch would inspire us to play better attacking football, but it looks like we have to get used to results football under Betrayal Football. Like it’s not nice watching Chiefs games, we always have our hearts in our hands – Dr.Tshego Abuti T-Man

Our defense is the reason, and these lucky goals we get are the reason we are winning games currently. Otherwise, this is garbage football – Mafika
