Chiefs reveal squad for Zamalek CAF Confederation Cup job! Who is missing?

Kaizer Chiefs have named their 23-man squad for the critical CAF Confederation Cup’s Group D game against Zamalek.

The Glamour Boys are top of the table after their win against Al Masry last weekend, while the Royal Club suffered a shock 1-0 loss to ZESCO United in Ndola. To make the quarter final, Amakhosi have to avoid defeat in Cairo.

However, they will have to do without the suspended Aden McCarthy who is serving a one-match ban. He is out alongside experienced Angola international Inacio Miguel who is nursing an injury with the likes of goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa, striker Etiosa Ighodaro among others.

Chiefs confirm their squad for the fixture

The Soweto giants have now confirmed the players who will do the duty away in Egypt on Saturday.

Among those who have made the squad is defender Nkanyiso Shingo who is yet to make a competitive debut for the club, as well as goalkeeper Takalani Mazhamba.

Goalkeepers: Brandon Petersen, Bruce Bvuma, and Takalani Mazhamba.

Defenders: Thabiso Monyane, Dillan Solomons, Paseka Mako, Given Msimango, Zitha Kwinika, Nkanyiso Shinga

Midfielders: Lehlogonolo Matlou, Thulani Mabaso, Lebohang Maboe, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Mduduzi Shabalala, Mfundo Vilakazi, Pule Mmodi, Asanele Velebayi.

Forwards: Gaston Sirino, Wandile Duba, Glody Lilepo, Khanyiso Mayo, Flavio Silva, Ashley du Preez.
