Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have avoided each other in the semi-final of the Home of Legends Cup which will be staged at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on November 16.

The two clubs are joined by Chippa United and Golden Arrows in the one-day tournament, with the Chilli Boys having made a U-turn after initially saying that they had withdrawn.

Chiefs will therefore face Arrows in the semi-final while Chippa take on Sundowns for a place in the final on the same day.

The tournament had been rocked by claims of favouritsm from Chippa last week after they pulled out claiming they had been disrespected by not getting a fair share of the money but solved their issues and got recalled.

Cape Town City had been slotted in to replace Chippa but the latter reclaimed their place after solving their issues with the tournament organisers.

“We are happy that the issues between Chippa United and tournament organisers have been resolved, we can confirm that it’s Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Lamontville Golden Arrows,” Putco Mafani, the tournament’s brand ambassador and media liaison officer, told iDiski Times.
