‘Chiefs to play with medals & Sekhukhune must give guard of honour! But Amakhosi need to lose, we don’t need MTN8’

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs return to the Premier Soccer League action on Saturday against Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

It will be a massive game for the Glamour Boys who are still chasing a top eight spot that will guarantee them an MTN8 slot in the 2025/26 edition.

The Soweto giants come into the match full of confidence after winning the Nedbank Cup to end their decade long trophy drought. However, it will not be an easy game against Babina Noko who are chasing a Caf Confederation Cup ticket.

Have a look at what the Amakhosi fans said ahead of the game.

Chiefs have had terrible PSL campaign and must do better

Kaizer Chiefs fans

All the best, boys, but honestly, I expect nothing out of this game. I'm still in a celebratory mode, but a top 8 finish would be awesome too, and we face down and eliminate them too –  Rieket Mathibeng

This game is so important, play well guys, we want to face Mamelodi Sundowns or Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 – Hyena Maphisa

Can you allow Kaizer Chiefs players to play with their medals, please? Sekhukhune United must give the guard of honour – Pablow Escoba

Let's hope the Cup excitement is over, back to reality that we are terrible in the league and need to do better. If someone feels like they don't want to play for Kaizer Chiefs, let them not play. Such individuals just sabotage team spirit – Ntando Ngcobo

This is a must-win; please don't disappoint me. I have already booked MTN8 final ticket – Mike Samir

I can’t wait to see Chiefs playing without pressure

Please, Kaizer Chiefs, don't disappoint us. We really need to lose so that we can rest. We don't need that MTN8 – O Stat Boy

We are going to celebrate this cup victory until they get irritated. Good luck for Saturday's game. Please end the season on a high note – Mankho Mathala

Kaizer Chiefs, please don't spoil the mood. We're still celebrating the historic achievement, please carry on with the same spirit from last week. Top 5 is still achievable pending on other results. Therefore, the mentality must be to finish as high as possible, not just to be number seven or eight – Gary Lubhedze

I can't wait to see Kaizer Chiefs playing without pressure on Saturday. Let's see – Nakedi Nakedy

I was even thinking that we are not going to honour the fixture because we are busy celebrating the Nedbank Cup. I hope you trained – Thabo Moroana
