Kaizer Chiefs have been one of the most active teams in the Premier Soccer League this season in their bid to create a stronger squad.
They have made some good signings to help them get back to the top of not only South African football but Africa at large. Among those the Glamour Boys released to create room for new additions are Ranga Chivaviro, Edmilson Dove, Sabele Radebe, Njabulo Blom (end of loan), Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, Yusuf Maart (SV Ried, Austria), Tebogo Potsane, and Bongani Sam (released).

Notably, Chivaviro was let go after struggling to score goals consistently for the Soweto giants. The former Marumo Gallants forward managed just nine goals in the 45 matches he played for Amakhosi.
Chiefs have since added Flavio Silva, Etiosa Ighodaro and Khanyisa Mayo in that attacking department.
Chivaviro lands a new team
Initially, Chivaviro had been linked to a host of local Premier Soccer League teams, but nothing materialised.
It explains why teams from the Middle East entered the race for the experienced 32-year-old striker. Recent reports indicate Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Adalah has secured the services of the South African on an initial one-year deal.

The Yelo League outfit narrowly missed out on promotion to the Saudi Pro League after falling in the play-offs. They had finished fifth in the 2024/25 campaign. Chivaviro now joins Mohau Nkota in Saudi Arabia; the Bafana Bafana international joined top-tier outfit Al-Ettifaq a couple of weeks ago.
Chivaviro is expected to be unveiled once all the formalities have been completed by the involved parties.
