Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite has issued a caution to his former club, Amakhosi, in anticipation of their upcoming match against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The much-anticipated clash between the two of the big three clubs in South Africa takes place on Saturday, 28 September at FNB Stadium. The kickoff is scheduled for 15:00.
Both teams are currently enjoying a strong start to the season, having secured victories in their first two matches of the Betway Premiership. Chiefs triumphed over Marumo Gallants with a score of 2-1 in their league opener, followed by a 3-1 win against AmaZulu on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Sundowns convincingly defeated SuperSport United 2-0 in their first league match before overpowering Marumo Gallants with a score of 4-1 on Tuesday.
Mashamaite claims that the Phefeni Glamour Boys’ defence has not been tested enough.

Despite expressing his pleasure with the partnership of Rushwin Dortley and Inacio Miguel, he feels Sundowns will be a big challenge for them.
The two centre-backs arrived this transfer window and seem to claimed spots in the line-up already. They have conceded two goals in two matches.
MASHAMAITE MAKES CLAIM AHEAD OF CHIEFS CLASH AGAINST SUNDOWNS
“I don't think their defence has been tested yet, so this is going to be one of the first few real tests for Chiefs. So far, they have looked a bit solid,” Mashamaite told Soccer Laduma.
“I like the combination of Dortley and Miguel. I was looking at Sundowns, they are looking like they are getting back to their old ways, so Chiefs have to be compact and there is no time to switch off against a team like Sundowns.
“They have to communicate, but North African coaches are strategic and organised against teams like Sundowns.”
