Kaizer Chiefs legend Shaun Bartlett believes Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was out of order by claiming Lyle Foster is ‘sometimes lazy‘ on the pitch.
The Burnley star did not have a good outing in the recent international friendlies against Panama at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and DHL Stadium respectively. South Africa drew 1-1 in the first game before losing 2-1 in the second one on Tuesday.

Foster had massive opportunities to score or assist but failed to take them and worn out in the latter stages of the game, explaining his sub.
Broos sentiments have not gone down well with Bartlett, who argues that the national team need an extra hand to help shape the attacking department. He added that without services, the Orlando Pirates product can’t deliver.

“I was probably a little bit disappointed with the coach [Hugo Broos] mentioning that [Lyle Foster is sometimes lazy],” Bartlett told Game On as quoted by Kick Off.
“If you look at the technical team, and again you look around the world, everybody is going more of a specialised route; you have coaches for certain positions.
“But if you look at the national team at the moment, we have a head coach, an assistant coach, and a goalkeeper coach, but there are no other people specialising or giving Lyle proper training in order to score goals.

“I think we need to get more people involved to teach these guys how to apply themselves in their positions,” the former defender concluded.
