Chiefs sponsor happy to be on board

Brima Logistics have become the first sponsor of the Amakhosi Ladies team as the club ventures into women’s football.

The company will serve as the sleeve sponsor, with all player jerseys bearing the company’s name and logo.

Brima Executive Chairman Tshepo Mekoa explained their decision to support the club.

“We are very happy to be the first sponsor of the Kaizer Chiefs Ladies team and proud to be associated with this colossal brand, which was also started by a young man back in 1970, Kaizer Motaung,” said Mekoa.

“We have worked hard to build a strong company that the people of Daveyton, where I’m from, can be proud of. Partnering with Amakhosi allows us to continue writing our beautiful story.”

Bafana coach Hugo Broos’ description of Lyle Foster as “lazy” has not gone unchallenged by Shaun Bartlett. The Bafana legend expressed disappointment, calling for Broos to invest more in specialised coaches to assist strikers with finishing.

“If you look at the technical team, and again you look around the world, everybody is going more of a specialised route; you have coaches for certain positions. “But if you look at the national team at the moment, there are no other people specialising or giving Lyle proper training to score goals.”

Lilepo urged to force his way into DR Congo’s World Cup squad

Kaizer Chiefs forward Glody Makabi Lilepo is under scrutiny from his fellow countrymen as they keep encouraging him to make a late entry for a World Cup place.

Lilepo hasn’t played for the DR Congo national team since June 2023 due to the issues he had with French coach Sebastien Desabre.

“This qualification is a huge achievement for all Congolese people including Lilepo who is our biggest hope of going to the World Cup of all players in the PSL,” says yesteryear Congolese striker Lelo Mbele who played for Orlando Pirates.
