Orlando Pirates have confirmed the exit of Tshegofatso Mabasa in the current January transfer window.

“Pirates can confirm the move of striker Tshegofatso Mabasa to Stellenbosch FC. The 29-year-old moves to Stellies on a loan for the remainder of the season,” the club confirmed on their Social Media on Monday.

The majority of the fans are unhappy with the decision to let the towering striker leave especially when they are chasing the Premier Soccer League. Have a look at what they said as sampled by Afrik-Foot.

All the best, Tshegofatso Mabasa. This team, Orlando Pirates, doesn’t treat you fairly – Pole

You loan your best striker with 50 goals, when he should help us win the league. This is because a coach who we’re not sure will last for three seasons says he is not in his plans. Another Arne Slot is at Orlando Pirates – Lesiba Kolotsi

We know the reason! No Orlando Pirates striker in PSL history has more goals than Mabasa. Farewell Sniper – Benzo Ndlovu

Mabasa’s only sin is that he cannot dance like Evidence Makgopa, but football-wise, he is ahead of him by far – Dlabehlezi

Mabasa might be annoying sometimes, falling 100 times, even when we are losing. But he was the best striker for Pirates, miles ahead of what we have currently. The agenda against him is finally successful. The current strikers combined won’t even give us 10 goals – Siya Dayimani

I am perplexed by the decisions made by my team’s management. While I acknowledge that I am not privy to the decision-making process, our team acquires and releases players more frequently than any other team in the Premier Soccer League. Every team in PSL have at least one former Buccaneer – Vusi Nkosi
