Orlando Pirates has officially welcomed Sipho Mbule for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season, and details of his contract length have now emerged.
He was a free agent after Mamelodi Sundowns opted against extending his deal. He then concluded his future by signing with the Sea Robbers last week.
The ‘Master Chef' spent two seasons with Sundowns after joining from SuperSport United in 2022.
Last season, he was sent on loan to Sekhukhune United to secure more playing time. Despite disciplinary issues that led to Babina Nokocutting his loan short, Mbule still managed two goals and three assists in 17 appearances for Sekhukhune across all competitions.
Mbule's arrival is a headline-grabbing addition to Pirates‘ squad for the upcoming campaign.
The 27-year-old midfielder joins an impressive list of new signings for the Soweto giants, including Yanela Mbuthuma, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepang Moremi, Tshepho Mashiloane, Masindi Nemtajela, Nkosikhona Ndaba, and Sihle Nduli.

SIPHO MBULE’S CONTRACT DETAILS AT PIRATES REVEALED
According to FARPost, Mbule's much-discussed move to Pirates is on a one-year contract, with the club holding an option for a further two years.
This skilled midfielder will soon fly to Spain with his new teammates for a pre-season tour led by the recently appointed coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Ouaddou, who previously managed Marumo Gallants, steps into the hot seat vacated by Jose Riveiro.
Riveiro left the Buccaneers at the end of the previous season to join Egyptian giants Al Ahly, concluding a highly successful three-season spell that saw him clinch three MTN8trophies and two Nedbank Cup titles.
