Furthermore, Amakhosi come into the game under intense pressure to win the three points. The Cedric Kaze and Khalili Ben Youssef’s men have lost their last four games across all competitions, and five in the six recent outings, a run that potentially ended the club’s hopes of winning silverware.
As a matter of fact, Chiefs are currently 17 points behind leaders Orlando Pirates on the log, explaining why they have no option but to deliver this weekend against the Citizens.
Kaizer Chiefs have to prepare well against Durban City
The Glamour Boys and Bafana Bafana Centre-back Zitha Kwinika has explained why the Soweto giants have to ensure they are well prepared ahead of the tough assignment.

“I think [Durban City] are a well-coached team, they are organised, and they change shape within the game in terms of how they play. Sometimes they stay a bit back and then in moments they go out in transition,” the versatile defender said as quoted by FARPost.
“So it’s not a team that’s easy to say you know how they’ll come on the day. So based on that, we have to prepare well.
“We have been trying to prepare for all phases of the game, which gives us an opportunity to do what’s required on the day and deal with situations as they arise,” the 32-yeaf-old concluded.
The Citizens are chasing the top three slots, just like Amakhosi, to qualify for CAF interclub competition.
