Morris to Stellies?

News reaching Soccer Laduma is that Stellenbosch FC are back in the race to sign a Kaizer Chiefs striker, following their initial failed attempt to lure the player away from Naturena in the previous transfer window.

“Coach Gavin Hunt is interested in bringing striker Tashreeq Morris to Stellies for the forthcoming season,” they reported.

“The team that we know, at the moment, that is interested in Tashreeq (Morris) is Stellenbosch FC.

“You remember they had also enquired about him in January, but due to other logistics, including salary issues, the move could not happen. Now, they have enquired about him again, and I can tell you that the talks are ongoing. I think after the World Cup, everything will have been sorted out, and we will know what’s next for him.

“Coach Hunt also wanted to sign the former SuperSport United striker when he was at Durban City, but the move also did not happen,” they concluded.
