Kaizer Chiefs welcome TS Galaxy tie after CAF disappointment: ‘It’s very good to play quickly’

Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz has already switched his mind to the Carling Knockout fixture on Tuesday against TS Galaxy at the FNB Stadium.

The Glamour Boys failed to make the CAF Confederation Cup group stage following their 3-2 loss in the penalty shootout which came about following a 1-1 aggregate score.

Da Cruz argues that it will be vital for his players to get another competitive game to ensure they remain focused and sharp.

The tactician further insisted Chiefs dominated the Friday fixture but the chances were not taken. But he believes the outing in the Round of 16 bare fruits and that his team will make the last eight.

Galaxy is the most important game

“It’s very good to play quickly, because we play quickly, we can switch directly on the next game,” Da Cruz opened up to the media.

“So, in my mind the most important is the next game against [TS Galaxy] in the Carling Cup because every time the most important game is the next one. So, we must prepare now to be qualified for the next round in the Carling Cup.

“When we win or when we lose, we must analyse very well the game [against Arrows], it is very clear that we dominated all the game, we created a lot of chances, it is the positive.

“And now the most important thing is that we don’t put pressure on this type of players [key players] because they must continue on this way. We are on the good way because everyone has seen the game today,” Da Cruz concuded,
