Kaizer Chiefs started their 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign with a 2-0 win over Stellenbosch at the Athlone Stadium.

The Glamour Boys found the back of the net through Nkosingiphile Ngcobo before Glody Lilepo ensured a healthy win from the spot against Steve Barker's team, who played the majority of the game with 10 players owing to the sending off of Siviwe Nkwali early in the first half.

Kaizer Chiefs are taking the league, Mamelodi Sundowns will take MTN8, and Pirates will take Cell C –  Bee Kayy

When we were riding bicycles in the Netherlands, our haters were laughing. Now we are cruising nicely. Stellenbosch is our bread and butter. This was not even an argument from the first whistle –  Vhutshilo Mjamas Mamaema

But honestly, the Glamour Boys need strikers. Our strikers can't even get a tap-in right – Ayanda Aylo Gxasheka

Stellenbosch must just open a case against Kaizer Chiefs, this is abuse – Karabo Crushers

Nasreddine Nabi should stay away for the whole month, because the assistant is the best cook – Azishe Wak Qala

‘The performance was below par'

Amakhosi are balling this season, Amastel FC are in trouble with their great Khali – Lume FuZah

Not convincing at all, however, a win is a win. Struggling against a 10-man team and even having a defender as MOTM is average. It's still early days, though, so let's see – Mcebo

We won, but that performance is below par, wake up, the season has started, please – Kagiso

If you continue paying your Sangoma, you might qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup again next season –  Respekt M'seka Phofu

I think we should sign a petition that Nabi must step down, because the football we saw on Sunday was quality – Joel Malesela Papo
