Kaze adamant Chiefs will work with ‘calmness’ & critics ‘will apologise’

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze is delighted that the team managed to secure maximum points against Golden Arrows in the Premier Soccer League outing at the FNB Stadium.

It was Amakhosi’s first win in five outings across all competitions which brought them closer to the top. The Glamour Boys have now collected 27 points from the 14 matches played this season in the top-tier.

The Burundian is delighted that Chiefs won when it mattered, which gives the technical team a friendly environment to work ahead of this weekend’s CAF Confederation Cup outing.

Kaze welcomes win over Arrows

On Sunday, Chiefs will be away against Zesco United in Group D of the annual continental competition. It explains why Kaze enjoyed the victory in front of the home supporters.

“I believe that we were very good in the game and we were threatening in attack. There was no need to sit back, the best defence is to attack and keep the opponent team busy,” he told the media.

“It’s true that the three points of 2026 are going to give us, even the coaches, the calmness to work with less pressure.

“We hope that this win is going to give us momentum, going into our Sunday game in Confederation Cup,” he continued.

Disrespectful critics will apologise

Kaze has further made a bold promise that doubters, who feel the current technical team can’t handle the team, will soon come back apologising for what they have been saying.

“I don’t feel that I’m not trusted, but I feel that I’m very supported within the team, by the management and the players. Sometimes I feel like it is the outside people who are trying to create things and there is a lack of respect when people talk about those two co-coaches – they don’t even know the names,” Kaze added.

“We know what we are doing, we are qualified. I’m giving you until the end of the season, we will meet, and I’m pretty sure everyone will apologise,” he concluded.
