Lucas Ribeiro and Khuliso Mudau have been pushing for Mamelodi Sundowns‘ exit in search of a new challenge elsewhere.
The duo has been influential for the reigning Premier Soccer League champions, attracting potential suitors. However, Masandawana are reluctant to let the stars leave since they are vital for the team to achieve their targets this season and the subsequent ones.

While the South American's situation seems complicated, it is not the case with the Bafana Bafana international who, seemingly, is set to continue playing for the Miguel Cardoso-led team, according to his agent Steve Kapeluschnik.
‘It seems to me like Sundowns want to keep him'
“The situation seems clear – Sundowns are not considering any transfers right now. Khuliso is an important player for the team, and the club wants to keep it that way. I’ve brought multiple offers and they’ve all been rejected,” he said as quoted by SABC Sport.
“Even today [Friday] I received two calls from Morocco enquiring about the player, but it seems to me like Sundowns want to keep him.

“Yes, the club triggered a one-year option on his previous deal, but the hope now is to work on an improved agreement so Khuliso can be settled again. Khuliso wants to return as soon as possible, but it needs to be done correctly,” he concluded.
Mudau has missed the five matches Sundowns have played this season across all competitions, as his future is being sorted. However, he is still part of the Bafana Bafana's preliminary squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho and Nigeria respectively.
