Khanyisa Mayo’s CR Belouizdad to face Orlando Pirates under new coach

Bafana Bafana attacker Khanyisa Mayo will hope for a change in fortunes when his club CR Belouizdad gets a new coach following the sacking of Corentin Martin.

Moyo has started just one league game since moving from Cape Town City to the Algerian side before the start of this season with Frenchman Martin not trusting him yet despite coming with great promise.

The forward has also made two substitute appearances in the Algerian top flight with his other start coming in the CAF Champions League when he played 85 minutes in the return leg match against AS Douaness of Burkina Faso.

Will the coaching change have an effect on the Pirates tie?

However, with Martin failing to win any of his first four league games, Belouizdad have made the decision to replace him, with the club soon to start their CAF Champions League group stage campaign where Orlando Pirates and Egyptian giants Al Ahly await.

Belouizdad will face Pirates in the first leg of their group stage match on November 26 when a replacement for Martin would have been found.

Moyo will hope to be involved in the crucial encounter as Pirates return to the group stage for the first time in five years while Belouizdad seek to get past the stage for a second successive season.
