Mamelodi Sundowns were eliminated from the Nedbank Cup last weekend after falling to TS Galaxy in the Round of 16.
The Brazilians had hoped to make the quarter-final, but their dream was cut short by the determined Rockets.
It was another sad ending for the Brazilians, who had failed to make an impact earlier on in the MTN8 and the Carling Knockout.

Orlando Pirates had eliminated Sundowns from the MTN8 before falling to the eventual finalists, Marumo Gallants.
Players booed!
Following the recent elimination from the Nedbank Cup, the supporters were unhappy with the players and the technical team.
There were boos prior to the game between Masandawana and AmaZulu.

“We need to be supportive. [On Tuesday night] I saw something that I have never seen and I didn’t like. I didn’t like to see the players of Sundowns being booed during the warm-up,” he said in a presser.
“I think the masandawana family needs to stay together because these players work a lot and they don’t deserve to enter a pitch and a match like this while being booed,” he added.
Cardoso delighted after win over AmaZulu
Cardoso was, however, delighted with the response of the players in the wake of the Nedbank Cup elimination. His team, eventually, claimed a 1-0 victory.
We spoke a lot about life during these last few days and how we can focus on the present moment because we don’t know what tomorrow has in store. That was the message I gave to the boys, that we should commit to today because we don’t know if we are going to be here tomorrow,” the Portuguese tactician added.
“I think the last cup match was very unfair because, considering the conditions of the match, we fought as hard as we could, but football penalises you when you make mistakes,” Cardoso concluded.
