Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Nasreddine Nabi has spoken about whether the club intends to find a successor for Fernando Da Cruz.
The Frenchman, Da Cruz left his second assistant coach position at Naturena to take up a role within the Moroccan Football Federation.
Speaking after his side’s 2-1 win over Marumo Gallants at Free State Toyota Stadium on Saturday, Nabi said they would still see how things unfold before they make a decision.
Nevertheless, he acknowledged the possibility of requiring an additional assistant coach due to the significant workload he faces with the team.

NABI SPEAKS ON FERNANDO DA CRUZ’S EXIT, NEW ASSISTANT COMING?
“Why not? It’s possible, it’s possible,” said Nabi.
“It’s possible because I have too much job. Now, I have only one assistant who has specific work.
“If Mr. Cruz is in Morocco, I think he’s there definitely because we received a letter from Morocco. But we will have some little time to observe the situation.”
Meanwhile, there have been recent speculations that Arthur Zwane could return to the first team as a fill-in for Da Cruz. Nevertheless, the club's sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., dismissed these speculations during a radio interview with Marawa Sports Worldwide.
CHIEFS SPORTING DIRECTOR ON ZWANE’S RUMOURED RETURN TO FIRST TEAM
“No, he doesn’t, i think sometimes that’s the challenge, because we’re not sitting here with you, answering the questions,” said Motaung Jr.
“Also for us, when someone says something on social media, the way it’s being picked up and run with it, it also causes unnecessary energy around the team.
“But with coach Arthur, no. Coach Arthur is our Senior Academy Coach, he is there at the academy side. I think they project and the programme they’ve put together is well underway. There was no truth to that at all.”
