Nabi promises Chiefs fans more after Chippa victory

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has delivered a message of hope to the Amakhosi faithful, promising a return to the club's glory days after their impressive 3-0 Nedbank Cup victory against Chippa United

Speaking after the Last 16 triumph at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening, which secured Chiefs' quarter-final berth, the Tunisian tactician assured fans that they are working diligently, step-by-step, to rebuild the team to its former stature.

Nabi has an opportunity to end Chiefs’ 10-year trophy drought with Nedbank Cup this season.

‘WE WILL COME BACK STEP BY STEP’

“As we said earlier the game was not going to be easy,” Nabi said on SuperSport TV

“We happened to score early in the game but after we noticed at the end of the first half, we let the opponent to take control of the game.

“We tried to rectify that in the second half and the performance was good and the win.

“Step by step, step by step, we going to come back. We go step by step, no pressure we work seriously and Kaizer Chiefs I promise you in the future we come back.

“Now we don't come back, we will come back. Step by step.”
