Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi emphasized that a comprehensive rebuilding process is necessary for a club of Amakhosi's magnitude, suggesting that a timeframe of just seven to eight months is insufficient.
Nabi's remarks came after his team's latest setback, a 2-0 defeat to Richards Bay FC at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi on Sunday, which was their ninth loss in 22 Betway Premiership matches this season.
While there was a glimpse of hope when Nabi and his technical team joined Chiefs at the start of the season, they have faced challenges with inconsistent results.
However, Nabi remains optimistic, stating that they have a clear vision of what needs to be done to turn things around.

‘WE NEED MORE TIME THAN THAT’
“It's true that we are in the process of rebuilding the team, and a big team like Kaizer Chiefs is not rebuilt in six or seven months, we need more time than that,” said Nabi.
“But the only thing we know is exactly what we need, and where we need it, to have a better team or better club.
“It's not only because we are losing today or that we are winning tomorrow that we'll say the opposite, we have to emphasise that we are in the building process and we know exactly what we need.”
