Nedbank Cup holders Kaizer Chiefs were eliminated from the competition after falling 2-1 against Stellenbosch on Wednesday evening.
The game was initially scheduled for a 19h00 kick-off but was delayed by 30 minutes due to bad weather. The Glamour Boys had a slow start, which explains their conceding two goals inside the first 25 minutes of the Round of 32 fixture.

Despite them pulling one goal back early in the second half, it ended in favour of Gavin Hunt’s men, who hope to defy the odds and go all the way despite their inconsistencies this season.
Coach Cedric Kaze now believes the 30-minute delay negatively impacted their players.
How did the weather affect Amakhosi?
The Burundian argues the players’ concentration was affected, insisting that delays are usually not welcome by teams.
“It’s, a question that I would love to find an answer to, because those delays are never good for teams,” the tactician said in a presser.
“And you know, the momentum, the concentration, the focus on the game is, you get perturbation from that.

“And as I said, I don’t want to find any excuse. And we are out with all the things that happened today, and we have just to keep our heads straight and concentrate for Sunday’s game,” Kaze concluded.
The Glamour Boys host Al Masry this weekend hoping to get maximum points to stand a chance of making the next phase of the annual competition.
