The Nedbank Cup and MTN8 champions Orlando Pirates have confirmed the exit of Vincent Pule in addition to the six, already, released players.
Recently, the Soweto giants parted ways with Fortune Makaringe, Richard Ofori, Siyabonga Mpontshane, Thabang Monare, and Souaibou Marou with coach Jose Riveiro shaping up for a busy 2024/25 season.
The Spaniard is convinced Pule might not be of so much help, especially after his recent struggles with the Sea Robbers.
Thank you Pule! – Bucs done with the experienced midfielder
In the 2023/24 season, the midfielder played just 11 matches across all competitions owing to fitness issues due to injuries.
“After six wonderful years, Vincent Pule is leaving Orlando Pirates Football Club,” The Buccaneers
“The 32-year-old came here in 2018 from Bidvest Wits and immediately made an impact for the Mighty Buccaneers.
“On behalf of the entire Orlando Pirates family, we would like to thank Vincent for everything he has done for this football club.
“A phenomenal player, who gave us incredible moments in the field of play while also displaying qualities of a model professional off it.”
During his time with the Sea Robbers, Pule played 140 games and was directly involved in the club's 35 goals.

Pule exit, a wise move for the midfielder?
Just a couple of days ago, former club's forward Jackie Ledwaba advised the experienced player to leave Bucs to stand a chance of playing regularly.
“Pule should go! I think it is the right time for him to move on, though I know it is up to the technical team. But if you look at his chances of playing at Pirates right now are very slim. He should move on and to a team where he will play regularly,” he argued.
“Age is also not on his side to compete with the players who play in his position, and with the injuries he has been suffering, it makes it difficult for him to cement a regular place. Moving on is the best solution for him.”
Thalente Mbatha is seemingly the man who will replace Pule, having played a crucial role since his arrival at the club on loan from SuperSport United in the January transfer window. His deal is set to be finalized in the next couple of days.
So far, Bucs have confirmed the signing of Angola international Gilberto from Petro de Luanda.
