Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Peter Shalulile, marked a momentous occasion by reaching his 100th goal for the club as The Brazilians defeated AmaZulu FC 2-0 in Tuesday’s Betway Premiership match at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.
The Namibian international secured his place in Sundowns' history books with a second-half goal, becoming only the second player to achieve a century of goals for the club.
Furthermore, this strike brings Shalulile closer to Siyabonga Nomvethe’s PSL record of 129 goals, with his current top-flight tally now standing at 127.
The victory was solidified by a goal from Brazilian attacker Arthur Sales, his fifth across all competitions this season.
THE RETURN OF RONWEN WILLIAMS
Miguel Cardoso was able to reinstate goalkeeper Ronwen Williams to the starting line-up for the first time since their defeat to TS Galaxy in February.
AmaZulu, meanwhile, were strengthened by the return of Rian Hanamub following suspension.

In the opening 45 minutes, Sundowns dominated possession as anticipated, yet their attacking play was largely limited to long-range efforts. Teboho Mokoena came closest to breaking the deadlock in the 28th minute with a shot from distance.
Williams remained largely untroubled throughout the first half on his return to action.
However, just six minutes into the second half, the Tshwane giants found the breakthrough. Peter Shalulile capitalized, scoring the opening goal – his 100th for the club – after finding the net.
Sundowns continued to press for a second goal. Lucas Suarez saw a powerful header saved by Usuthu goalkeeper Veli Mothwa, and substitute Arthur Sales narrowly missed, firing a shot from the edge of the box over the crossbar.
AmaZulu sought to equalize as the match entered its final stages. With nine minutes remaining, Nkosikhona Radebe skillfully set up Rowan Human on the edge of the area, but the midfielder’s attempt went wide of the target.
Ultimately, Sundowns extinguished any hopes of an AmaZulu comeback in the 87th minute when Sales secured their second goal, converting a Lucas Costa Ribeiro assist to seal a 2-0 victory.
