Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng is reportedly on his way to Belgium to join Union Saint-Gilloise.

The 21-year-old Premier Soccer League winner has reportedly been handed a four-year-deal, subject to agreement between the involved parties. According to Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad, Union Saint-Gilloise are making significant moves in the transfer market to be even more effective next season.

Mofokeng has been a key player for the Soweto giants since his promotion by then coach Jose Riveiro late in the 2022/23 season. He was part of the South Africa team that played in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and played three games but, unfortunately, Mzansi were knocked out in the Round of 32.

Have a look at what the fans are saying regarding the potential move, as sampled by Afrik-Foot.

Orlando Pirates should accept the offer. Bafana Bafana need to have players who are playing in Europe.Vision 2030 – Lesetja Thombs

Can’t South African players really secure big, big moves? Guys, let’s be honest, we all love Rele, but Royal Union Saint-Gilloise is another European Golden Arrows – Gift Ricks

So Barcelona changed their mind on Mofokeng? But Percy Tau played there before Club Brugge – Biyela
