Pitso Mosimane suffered his third consecutive defeat as Esteghlal coach; after back-to-back losses in the Persian Gulf League, his team lost 3-0 on Monday in the AFC Champions League.

It was an unanticipated result for the Iranian heavyweights, who started the season poorly and now risk elimination from the prestigious Asian competition.
