A couple of days ago, the World Football Governing Body, FIFA, confirmed that Premier Soccer League outfit Chippa United have been suspended from signing players for three seasons due to a breach of contract.
The Chilli Boys had not fully compensated their former coach, Luc Eymael, who coached them between August and October last year. However, upon his firing, the Chilli Boys didn’t settle his dues amounting to R250, as reported.

The South African outfit have now responded to the controversial situation that left them on cross roads.
Chippa respond to FIFA and supporters
The management confirmed that they are giving their best in getting a solution between the involved parties.
“The club would like to clarify that this is an ongoing administrative matter, currently being addressed in good spirit between the club and Mr Luc Nico Eymael,” they said in a statement.
“The outstanding amount is approximately R200,000, and the club has been granted until the next registration window period in August to settle the matter.
“This matter does not impact the club’s football operations. At present, the club’s full focus remains on the remaining five games of the season, with attention directed towards achieving positive results,” Chippa added.
Vilakazi focused with results on the pitch
In his address to the media, coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi insists the focus remains on helping the Chilli Boys deliver on the pitch to retain their PSL status.

“That’s not my department; I only focus on the four lines,” the tactician opened up to the media.
“Whether there is a ban or no ban, I am happy with the players that I have now, and I still feel that we will definitely run away from relegation or [PSL Promotional/Relegation] Playoffs with these players.
“So other issues I can not entertain because I don’t know about them. Nobody spoke to me about such things, not even the chairman [Siviwe ‘Chippa] Mpengesi] himself,” Vilakazi concluded.
