Following the recent conclusion of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season, a coach from the league has officially announced his departure.
Abdeslam Ouaddou has confirmed he's left Marumo Gallants, bringing an end to what was a remarkably brief, three-month tenure with the Abram Sello-owned club.
Ouaddou, who took over from Dan Malesela (now back at Baroka FC), was exceptionally successful in his primary objective: safeguarding the club from relegation.
This was a particularly challenging task given the team's significant slump in form and inconsistent results during the middle of the season.
Under his leadership, the Moroccan coach oversaw 12 matches across all competitions, securing five wins, four draws, and just three losses.
The former AS Vita coach expressed his sincere gratitude to the club for providing him with the opportunity in the Betway Premiership and stated he now “remains open to any proposal” for an ambitious new project, eager to embrace a fresh challenge.

OUADDOU ON HIS MARUMO GALLANTS DEPARTURE
“I would like to announce with this press release the end of the adventure with the Marumo Gallants club,” announced Ouaddou via a statement.
“It has been great pleasure to have collaborated with all the resources of the club.
“I would like to thank first of all my players, my President, as well as all the stakeholders of the club who participated from near or far in this mission to save the club without forgetting our magnificent supporters.
“The people of Bloemfontein will remain in my heart forever. I wish the best to Marumo Gallants as well as to my players. I love you guys.
“I obviously remain open to any proposal for an ambitious project and determined to take on a new challenge.”
