Kaizer Chiefs have so far confirmed the signing of six players ahead of the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League season.
Flavio Silva (Persebaya Surabaya, Indonesia), Ethan Chislett (Port Vale, England), Nkanyiso Shinga (FC Alverca, Portugal), Paseka Mako (Orlando Pirates), Thabiso Monyane (Orlando Pirates), and Siphesihle Ndlovu (SuperSport United) are the new faces at the club.
However, more signings are expected before the Transfer Window closes as coach Nasreddine Nabi continues to revamp his squad.
A section of the aforementioned players took part in the five pre-season matches played in the Netherlands. These are our ratings:
Nkanyiso Shinga 7/10

The newly signed versatile defender played three out of the five games in the European tour. He twice played the whole game, while lasting 45 minutes in the remaining fixture.
He looked solid at the back and helped in attack when a chance came his way. Looks like he will start the season as the first-choice left-back for the Nedbank Cup defending champions.
Thabiso Monyane 6/10

The 25-year-old joined Chiefs from old rivals Orlando Pirates following the expiry of his contract. The right-back has since made his debut for the Glamour Boys in the Netherlands.
As expected, he was defensively solid, though he looked rusty at times, rightfully so owing to the struggles for game time at Bucs. However, we can't take anything from him; always composed on the ball and knows how to position himself.
Ethan Chislett 6/10

The former Port Vale creative attacking midfielder was signed to help unlock defenses. He looked nervous on his debut against Vitesse, and at some point looked unsure on what to do with the ball.
However, he grew in confidence in the subsequent matches, trying to play positive football even in the tightest instances. Once he fully integrates with his teammates, Chislett might be the player to provide assists and score those that come his way.
Flavio Silva 3/10

Well, the 29-year-old came from Persebaya Surabaya with an impressive CV, and fans saw him as a savior owing to the recent struggles of Ranga Chivaviro, Christian Saile, Caleb-Bonfils Bigirimana among others.
Nevertheless, the early signs are not good for the towering striker, who has had a tough time making an impact in the final third. His trapping of the ball has not been convincing, but who knows? Maybe he will rise for the occasion.
