Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has praised Deon Hotto's remarkable consistency and near-omnipresence in the team.
Riveiro highlighted that Hotto, despite being 34 years old, has been a standout performer for Pirates, with the team aiming for more success this season.
To date, he has made 197 appearances for the Buccaneers and has missed only one of 36 games for club and country in the 2024/25 season.

RIVEIRO ON HOTTO’S IMPACT
“We have many players with fantastic genetic and conditional capacities, Deon is one of them. Everybody can see it obviously,” said Riveiro as quoted by iDiski Times.
“It’s not only his capacity to run fast, it’s his capacity to repeat those runs again and again. To play 90 minutes every two to three days.
“He’s supposed to be 35… Professionally, Deon knows how to take care of himself. His life is fully dedicated to the game and that’s why hopefully he can continue in this level in a very long period.
“Like I said, he’s not the only case but probably one of the cases who is calling our attention.”
