Kaizer Chiefs have been struggling to score goals owing to their strikers' inconsistencies in the final third.
In the January transfer window, the Glamour Boys brought in Tashreeq Morris from a now-defunct SuperSport United, with Christian Saile going the opposite way. However, the former has not delivered as anticipated, inviting action in the ongoing transfer window.
Coach Nasreddine Nabi opted against extending the contract of Ranga Chivaviro who scored nine goals in the two seasons he was at the club. Flavio Silva has been signed to help find a solution, but former South Africa international Shaun Bartlett has warned it will be a collective effort but not all about individual brilliance.

In the 2023/24 season, Silva played 45 games for an Indonesian outfit, Persebaya Surabaya, with a return of 30 goals. However, he scored just nine last season in 33 outings.
‘Conversion rate is what has been lacking at Chiefs'
“Everyone is gonna look at the striker that's gonna give you 15 goals a season. I don't put too much emphasis on the striking department, if the team is doing well, the striking itself will benefit,” Bartlett told Omniaudioafrica YouTube Channel.
“When you score goals it needs to be across the park, everybody has to contribute in terms of winning titles, that conversation rate is what has been lacking at Chiefs, that [was] probably the bigger issue, that the conversion rate is too low for the amount of opportunities they create.
“Sometimes people assume Chiefs have deep pockets to get that striker but you need to find a balance in spending money. When it comes to individual qualities and desire, I do feel if a lot of strikers can put in more work…they want to score on weekends but they don't want to put that extra hour at training, that for me is lacking a lot in South Africa,” he concluded.
