Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Gaston Sirino has opened up on the feeling of wearing the famous Gold and Black of the Soweto giants.
The Uruguayan playmaker made a move to Naturena after departing Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the previous season.
Sirino has quickly become a key figure and fan favourite for Amakhosi due to his significant contributions to their recent games.
He has scored two goals and registered two assists in four appearances he has made across all competitions this season.
After the match against SuperSport United, Sirino remarked that a prestigious club like Chiefs is expected to secure victory in every match it plays.
SIRINO SAYS THEY HAVE TO FIGHT TO WIN EVERY MATCH
“Very difficult game, SuperSport played very good, possibly they had the best [first] 30 minutes but we need to push. I think we played very well after the first goal,” Sirino said on SuperSport TV.
“We need to push, it's Kaizer Chiefs, it's a big club, we need to win every game.”
Sirino further emphasized the significant responsibility that comes with playing for Kaizer Chiefs. He expressed his satisfaction in being able to contribute.
Additionally, he commended the positive change in mentality among the players, who now display a strong desire to win.
“You know it's a big responsibility to play for Kaizer Chiefs but I'm very happy to help the team, I'm here to help. The change of mentality is important, the change of mentality to win every game,” Sirino added.
“As you saw the last game against Sundowns, we needed to score a little bit more goals but it's football. Now we need recovery, after another difficult game against SuperSport.”
