October was a month of high performance and big moments for Orlando Pirates, and now, six standout stars are in the running for the club’s coveted Player of the Month award.
With voting officially open, it’s up to the Ghost Nation to decide who deserves the honour.
The Buccaneers enjoyed a strong run in October under coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, winning four of their five matches across all competitions. Their only setback came in the form of a 3-0 away defeat to FC Lupopo in the CAF Confederation Cup. But the team bounced back impressively, defeating Siwelele and Magesi to reach the Carling Knockout Cup semifinals and climbing to third place in the Betway Premiership standings.
Here are the six players who lit up the pitch and now stand as nominees for October’s top individual prize:

Mbekezeli Mbokazi – The Rock at the Back
Dubbed “Mr. Consistency,” Mbokazi has featured in every match this season. His standout moment came in the Carling Knockout Cup against Siwelele, where he scored a stunning goal that left fans at Esgodini in awe.

Lebone Seema – Calm and Composed
Often operating in the shadows of his defensive partner, Seema quietly delivered solid performances. In the four matches he started, Pirates conceded just twice and kept two clean sheets—proof of his growing influence at the back.
Sihle Nduli – The Engine Room General
Nduli may not grab headlines, but his tireless work in midfield has been vital. A leader on and off the ball, his tactical discipline and relentless energy have made him one of the team’s most reliable performers.
Masindi Nemtajela – The Breakout Star
October marked a breakthrough for Nemtajela, who has gone from fringe player to first-team regular. His creativity and composure in midfield have added a new dimension to Pirates’ attacking play.
Oswin Appollis – The Game Changer
Since arriving at the club, Appollis has been electric. Whether scoring or creating, the 24-year-old has been a constant threat in the final third, often proving unplayable with his flair and vision.

Tshepang Moremi – The Clutch Performer
With Relebohile Mofokeng sidelined, Moremi stepped up in style. He netted the winner against Polokwane City and delivered another standout performance against Magesi in the Carling Knockout Cup, showing his knack for rising to the occasion.
